Every painting has a story. I purposefully named this ATYPICAL. I posted it on Facebook to see if anyone would "get it". Apparently, my English humor is too subtle. No one "got it" without an explanation. I was inspired to paint this by some photos Mike took recently. Even though it is February, it doesn't look much like winter here in Montana. But we sent our snow back east this year. Sorry. When I was near completion, I thought what can add to make people really look? So in the lower left corner is an Atypical Jackalope. This is a larger painting than I am used to doing. I started early in the week, and had so much fun painting the dramatic sky. It's 18 x 24 inch,
