CHRISTMAS TREE SUNRISE
#106 December 14, 2016
The other morning on an early winter drive, I was closing the gate and the colors of the sunrise caught my attention. As a passenger, going down the road, those colors became more intense. I pulled out my phone and without knowing what I would get from behind me I snapped a photo. When I saw it later I was amazed to see a perfectly shaped Christmas tree in the center of the sun’s hot spot. That’s where my inspiration came from this painting. You never know when that very special gift will appear, you can be pretty sure it will be at dawn or dusk!
