Artist's Description
We viewed an estate we were liquidating in Fort Benton, Montana. Next door, there was a small home for his studio. Later, when we went back, I noticed these two skulls just outside the window where you could barely see his easel. I though it ironic because Charles M. Russell always had a skull under his name and so the image stuck in my mind. So here is my impression of "Outside the Artist Studio in Fort Benton." This was done on my Sunday, a day off, over the course of the day the picture evolved. Materials: acrylic on canvas. Dimensions: 16 × 20 × 1 in (unframed)
