My intention when I started this painting was to do a simple post with wheat grass along side it, casting a shadow. That�s what intrigued me on my walk. Then, something happened, it got more involved and ended up a much more complicated painting. The impressionistic look appears to be the mountains across from my house, West side of Tobacco Roots in the Ruby Valley. Down Highway 287 there is a variety of grasses and colors along the road and we drive that often. Certainly, my subconscious must have been at work here because this is all just made up with nothing particular in (conscious) Mind.
