#37 SEASONS END…. 2018
The thing I love about painting is the reference to your own feelings about life. I paint from within. The outcome reminds me of here I am at. This year has been intense and exciting. But we, my husband and I are exhausted. So, this is fitting. I started this painting in the spring when the foothills when snow was awesome…. then it sat in the corner…. And one day discovered this scull with horns of an old ram we had…. it sat too…. And now I find it the fitting end to a season of hard work, intense interactions with thousands of wonderful Montana people and glad to have served a helping hand to those in need of what we do …. I feel the emotions of all... the sun-bleached skull … this is my world in symbolic form… and all is good…this is my life…. Abstract and reality…. therefore, a reflection of my life…. I can only paint that which is from within… I am done with this chapter and chopping at the bit for the next one to emerge. It...
