URBAN DAISIES
#27 May 16, 2017
In the background, you may see images of houses, and this time of year I imagine old homes with lots of daisies coming up. Of course, in Montana, we are way behind and the daisies are only beginning to show their presence with the greenery popping thru the earth. I am challenging myself to paint from within my mind and do it abstractly, impressionistically and thru a feeling. My skills of using oils are not caught up to the beautiful images I imagine. If I keep working at it, on a daily basis, I learn to use the tools better and gain confidence. This is a process of recreating beauty….. it all takes time. That’s just the game I play, how can I reproduce something to remind us of the truly unbelievable miracles all around us? Oil on 12 x 24 Wrapped canvas.
