Cheryl Nancy Ann Gordon Accepted as Exhibition Artist as one of the 24 artists selected. The 2018 Landscape Show is a special show that features how artists see the places they live and visit across the world. We have to say that this show presents a wide swath of work from traditional oil painting to digitally generated works and then to pastels. Cheryl Submitted 4 original oil paintings which will be Exhibited in the show along with other artists from 9 different countries. The Results are in the process of being recorded as to the winner of the People's Choice Award.

Many artists struggle with self doubt. Especially after being away from the brush and pallet for a few days. The past week I was working on the road, away from my painting studio. Coming back home, I was excited to do some painting but the thought of starting a larger size project was intimidating to me. So I pulled out a smaller cedar board that I like to have on hand. Its 7 x 16 and decided I would just do a random sketch of whatever might want to express itself. That is how I created this Oil on Cedar small Impressionistic Landscape Painting.

My advise is don't let your brain get in the way of creativity. Just go for it, break the ice and enjoy the process! Once you get warmed up and in the swing again.... those ideas will rush right in and your fun continues!

It's almost that time of year again, when poultry passions are stirred to bring new members into the flock. The fluffy wonders touch hearts and give non stop entertainment ... conjuring up such phrases as 'Chick Watching,' 'Chick Flicks,' 'Peep Show,' 'Don't Be a Chicken,' 'Eggstra Special,' and as we sometimes call it here.... 'Redneck TV.' By the way, the term 'Redneck' was born out of the characteristic sunburn on the back of a farmer's neck from hours of working in the fields.
