Every painting has a story. I purposefully named this A Typical. I posted it on Facebook to see i anyone would "get it". Apparently, my English humor is too subtle. no one "got it" without an explanation. I was inspired to prinat this by some photos Mike, my husband, took recently. The mountains are the Ruby Mountains, which are behind our property. Even though it is February, it doesn't look much like winter here in Montana. But we sent our snow back east this year. Sorry. When I was near completion, I thought what can I add to make people really look? So in the lower right corner is an A typical Jackalope. This is a larger painting than I am used to doing. I started early in the week, and had so much un painting the dramatic sky. It's 18 x 24 inches. Acrylic on stretched Canvas. #10 painting for 2015 done February 28, 2015.
My passion is painting impressionist /abstract original oil paintings. Nature is my biggest inspiration!
